With a 33-day campaign for re-election, Kevin Rudd will undoubtably be using social media to connect with Australians. Undoubtably as in these stakes he is already winning. Let’s start with his followers. In the moment I looked it up, he had 1,308,411 followers in Twitter and has tweeted or re-tweeted almost 9,500 times. That is, he and his office have tweeted. He finishes his own tweets with ‘KRudd’… much like Julia Gillard used to finish hers with 'JD', and Barrack Obama finishes his with ‘–bo’.
